Kabasura Kudineer is a classical Siddha medicine recommended as a preventive remedy against COVID-19 as per Tamil Nadu State Government .
Kabasura Kudineer has been used in Siddha to treat various respiratory diseases along with cold and cough for ages now.
Kabasura Kudineer is used to reduce the respiratory symptoms , increasing the immunity and strengthening the general health.
Kaba means - Kapha Dosha.
Asura means – which helps in mitigating the Kapha disorders.
Kudineer means - concoction / decoction / herbal tea.
Kabasura Kudineer consists of a total 15 herbs that includes
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale
Thippili – Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum
Lavangam – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum
Cirukancori ver – Dusparsha – Tragia involucrata
Akkirakaram ver – Akarakarabha – Anacyclus pyrethrum
Mulli ver – Kokilaksha – Hygrophila auriculata
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula
Adathodai elai – Vasa – Malabar nut – Adhatoda vasica

Kabasur Kudineer is a Siddha medicine used for its antiviral, bitter, digestive, cholagogue, hepatoprotective, and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is useful in the treatment of any virus infection, intermittent fever, malaria, chronic fever, dengue fever, chikungunya and all diseases in which fever is the main symptom.
It is useful in treatment of Asthma , Chronic respiratory disorder,Sore throat,
difficulty in urination,impotency,anti-pyretic, immunomodulator,
allergic rhinitis.
Kabasura Kudineer is very useful in Fever associated with Cough,Cold and
difficulty in breathing and also used for trating a various types of flu.

Protects the liver, and provides strength to the body.
It is also indicated in physical debility occurring after fever.
It stimulates hepatic functions, improves appetite, enhances digestion, boosts metabolism, and reduces after effects of several medicines on the liver.
In addition, it is also beneficial in loss of appetite, hepatomegaly, fatty liver syndrome, incomplete evacuation, constipation, intestinal parasites, blood disorders, and skin diseases.
