Three types of spaces that exist

There are three types of spaces that exist — external space (Bhut Akash), in which all the elements are there; inner space (Chit Akash), where thoughts and emotions come; and the space of energy (Chid Akash), where there is no thought, no emotion but just energy. We seldom understand; pay attention to these three different spaces.

There is a beautiful story. There was a small hill in a beautiful garden and whenever the gardener would go on the hill, he would invite everybody walking on the streets saying, “Please come and take flowers and fruits.” When people would come, he would get down from that hill and say, ‘how dare you come here, this is trespassing’, and chase them away. This pattern kept repeating itself. So the wise people thought they should look at the place he was in. They dug the mound and found a big golden throne that belonged to a king called Vikramaditya. This king had been a pious, generous king of good character and he had ruled the country sitting on that throne, many years ago, therefore the vibrations still existed. So whenever the man went on the hill he got into the generous space and when he came down he became his nasty self.

So the space you are in matters. When children are playing or when you are singing and chanting with everyone the space generated is harmonious, serene and beautiful. That doesn’t mean you should avoid people because they are not good company. Instead of running away from negative influences you must positively impact any environment. Doing your meditation and spiritual practices will help you be strong and stable in any space. Don’t be a ping pong ball but be the bat so you can influence the space around you.

A wise person is happy even in bad times. A stupid person is unhappy even in good times. YOU make the time good or bad. People usually blame the bad time and then wait for a good time. But even if an astrologer says you are in a hopeless time, you can make it good!

Like weather, time has its own impact on you. Your satsangs and Sadhana are your shields, your protection! Realise that you are more than time and that you can move through time with your timeless connection to the Divine!

If you're not calm?

So what if you're not calm? Wanting to always be calm is an issue. In life, if you get disturbed for a while, so what? You will bounce back. This knowledge acts as a safety valve within you, and this awareness comes with more meditation.

Act immediately for doing good

If we observe our behavior, we procrastinate doing something good but we are in a hurry when it comes to doing something bad. For example if we are angry we want to express it immediately and not wait.

Do you know why? Because virtues are your very nature and they will never leave you. Your vices are not your nature and they will leave you. The negative tendencies are transient and they will leave you if you do not act on them. Frustration, crying cannot stay for long, at least with the same intensity. Perhaps we are concerned that the vices will leave us if we do not act on them.

It is only wise to postpone the vices for they will not stay and act immediately for doing good, otherwise we will keep postponing the good for the next few lifetimes.

A mistake happened. Drop it

When we are worried about what other people are saying about us , then there is ego. Even when you are doing good , there will be some people who will find fault with it. Similarly , there will be people to praise even if the person is corrupt. So , don't worry about it. If you make a mistake , accept it. That is intelligence. In the same way , others can also make mistakes. Don’t wait for them to ask for forgiveness. You forgive and move on. A mistake happened. Drop it. Don’t keep thinking of past mistakes and chewing on it like gum. It is like churning up a pile of garbage. You must save your mind at all costs.

Good intentions.

Whatever work we want to do, do it with good intentions. Nobody’s curse can affect you if your heart is pure. If your heart is impure then surely it will have an influence.

Drop the past

Drop the past and have faith that there are many more new things to come into your life. One thing that you should know is that vou don't know yourself. When you look at what you did in the past or your weaknesses, the first step to gain confidence is to know that you don't know yourself. When you think that you know yourself, only then do you attach yourself with all these negative events and qualities. But when you wake up and see that, 'Hey, I don't know myself' then it is a new beginning. Then you will discover that there are so many strengths within you that you were not aware of.

Yoga of equanimity

Meditation Yoga

Chapter 6, Verse 33

 arjuna uvāca
yo’yaṁ yogas-tvayā proktaḥ
sāmyena madhusūdana
etasyāhaṁ na paśyāmi
cañcalatvāt sthitiṁ sthirām

Arjuna says: This yoga of equanimity, which has been taught by You, O Krishna, I cannot imagine its steady continuance, because of the restlessness of the mind.

Arjuna’s mind was still very active. He says, “I hear what you are saying, but in my mind it doesn’t make any sense! I can’t grasp what you are saying due to this restlessness of the mind, this lack of concentration.” So what causes this lack of concentration? It’s due to attraction and repulsion. When there is constant judgement in the mind, one doesn’t perceive this equanimity. In the mind of such a person, there is always movement, restlessness.

Arjuna is really interested in understanding this. It’s like when you are reading a wonderful novel and wondering what will come next, what will happen in the next chapter, what will be the next big drama. Arjuna wants to understand something that everybody would like to understand. He says, “My mind is so restless, so clouded, that even though I hear you speak, I can’t image this equanimity!”

Bhagavad Gita

Supreme Yogi.

Meditation Yoga

Chapter 6, Verse 32

ātmaupamyena sarvatra
samaṁ paśyati yo’rjuna
sukhaṁ vā yadi vā duḥkhaṁ
sa yogī paramo mataḥ

He, O Arjuna, who sees with equality everything in the image of the Self, whether it be grief or happiness, I hold him to be the supreme yogi.

Here Lord Krishna uses the expression ‘supreme yogi’, to show that there are different levels of Realisation. The one who has reached the ultimate Realisation, who has perceived God Himself within his own Self, and has attained complete unity with God, doesn’t have any will of his own: for him it is only, “Thy Will be done!” Christ prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, “Let not my will be done, but Thy Will be done!” One is completely surrendered to the Will of God! This ‘supreme yogi’, this Maha Yogi, knows that all is only Him. The supreme yogi, Christ, came to remind mankind
of this truth.

A man who dwells in the outside reality, identifies himself equally with every limb of his body – my leg, my feet, my arm, my head and so on. The yogi who has reached the level of identifying himself with the Body of the Lord, the cosmic Body of the Lord, identifies everything, the animate and the inanimate, within his own Self. So he looks at everything equally! He performs all actions in the most efficient way, and does everything perfectly! He does everything, even though he has no selfish interest in anything. A normal person with a human mind very attached to the outside reality will say, “Oh, I don’t care!” The supreme yogi won’t say, “I don’t care,” or “Finish with it,” or “Do it quickly!” Even though he is not attached to anything, he does everything in the most perfect way.

The current Stars, the Uncontrolled Fire and the Extra effort

_Astrological reasons behind the current happenings at the Macro and the Micro level_

The recent events and happenings around have made everyone wonder if there is something going on in the stars, The past few days have made us go through some sudden, unexpected, unfavorable, situations and incidents and decisions. It is taking a lot of effort to find centeredness and to do simple things. Self, events and situations seem to be pulled into the fire element and it is taking a lot of effort to do things. The Following astrological combinations are responsible:

1 *.Angarak Yog: The volcanic fire* : Whenever Mangal and Rahu come together in the sky they create Angarak Yoga, Angarak Yoga means sudden uncontrolled accidental fire. This combination is manifesting in both the subtle and the gross level. At the gross level it is causing rising temperatures in the climate, accidents due to fire (accidents in Gujarat and Delhi.) At subtle levels it is causing health issues, Burning the relationships, Anger causing hurt and panic, Fire of insult and disrespect (Badwagni) that is difficult to digest. This combination is causing negative results as it is happening in the Meena rashi, the rashi of losses. Natives with Rahu and Mars as dominant planets will feel the impact more.

2.*Combustion of Jupiter, The weakened spiritual energy:* Jupiter has come close to the sun and is considered combust in this particular situation. Combustion simply means burnt. When Jupiter is combust in the sky, it directly affects sadhaks and spiritual people. It takes extra effort to find centeredness and do sadhna. Knowledge and devotion seem weakened temporarily.
*Time Period: May 3rd to June 2nd*
*Remedies: Guru Puja, Sahaj Samadhi, Sudarshan Kriya*

3.*Combust of Venus: The weakened materialistic energy* When Venus is combust, it takes away the joy of the material world. Life becomes monotonous leaving us bored and confused. We tend to do the same activities but only with the Joy missing. Combust Venus also causes major relationship issues between the couples. People who are dependent on the material world and money completely are impacted more than the Sadhaks. This also affects the Artists community.
