Saraswati Vrat For Education

Saraswati Vrat For Education

Saraswati Vrat is a religious fasting and vrat performed on Wednesday, Mula or Hasta or Atham Nakshatra and during Navratri in Hinduism.
When Is Saraswati Vratham Performed?

The most auspicious day to perform Saraswati Vrat is when there is Mula or Moolam or Hasta or Atham Nakshatra during sunrise. It is doubly auspicious if the day falls during the waxing or light phase of moon (Shukla Paksha).
How To Perform Saraswati Vrat?
The worship and puja is to be done during the day time.
Goddess Saraswati is invoked in books and palm leaves, symbolizing the scripted-distributable concretized form of speech.
The form of the feminine deity invoked indicates that the Goddess combines the feminine powers o the consorts of the trinity of gods (Brahma Vishnu Shiva), the abstract Omkara sound form, as well as the supreme Mother Goddess.
Goddess Saraswati form prescribed for worship during vrat is an integrated concept of the Vedic and Puranic deity.
From the Vedic lore, she refers to the presiding deity of the evening twilight. In the Puranic lore, she is the wife/consort/daughter/power of the Creator, Brahma.
She is also the manifestation of Goddess Shakti, combining Mahahali, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati. On this day, after the worship, rest from studies and teaching is observed. This vrata is meant for invoking the blessings of the Goddess of learning for better comprehension (Brahma Medha Siddhi) of studies.
Sweet rice dish prepared using jaggery is distributed on the day.
