MEDAH KAPHABHYAAMA ITI means MEDAS along with the KAPHA. Here the word ABUDHA has been used for those who when observe the pains and consider that the pains are due to the VAATA only and they start using SNEHA for this and they even don’t know about the AAVARANA.
It has also been explained at some other place also by the verse – KUPITE MAARGA SARONDHAAT…….. which means when there is VAATA PRAKOPE due to the obstruction in the channels by MEDA and KAPHA, then the SNEHANA and BRINGHANA measure should not be employed.
AVITARKYAMAANA means without proper knowledge. The line PARASPARENETI shows the reasons for the improper knowledge about this.
Here the word ROGA means DOSHA.
And the ROGA, which are produced due to the wrong use of SNEHA in such cases, itself oppose each other producing a very difficult situation, again they also cause DUSHTI of RAKTAADI DHAATUS and become more strong which become difficult to manage. And these diseases are then become non treatable by their own medicines also.
SWABHAISHAJAI ITI – this is the medicine for the particular disease without considering the obstruction or the involvement of the DOSHA and DHAATUs. So if the medicine is used after observing only one DOSHA and not observing the involvement of the other DOSHAS and THE DHATUS and the obstruction caused by them, it doesn’t work properly, so all these factors should be considered properly.
