Weapons cannot cut the self (atman), nor can fire burn it; water cannot wet it, nor can the wind dry it.

नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावक: |
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुत: ||
अनुवाद: आत्मा को न शस्त्र काट सकते हैं, न अग्नि इसे जला सकती है; जल इसे गीला नहीं कर सकता और न ही वायु इसे सुखा सकती है।
