The Bee Does Not Ask the Flower for More

  1. The bee takes a little nectar and leaves content, never asking the flower to give one drop more.
  2. I rest in what is already here, and the quiet fullness of this moment asks for nothing further.
  3. A flower opens fully to the morning, holding nothing back and wanting nothing in return. I open the same way.
  4. Dear seeker, you have been gathering so much. Pause, and notice the sweetness already resting in your own being.
  5. The river reaches the sea without carrying a single wish. I too arrive, simply by being still.
  6. Sunlight pours over every petal equally, never counting, never saving. Abundance flows through me the same way.
  7. A tree gives fruit in season and lets the rest fall away, trusting what is enough.
  8. Mountain springs rise without asking the rain how long it will stay. I trust the source within.
  9. Wind carries the scent of blossoms across the valley and keeps none for itself. I too hold nothing.
  10. I am Absolute. Nothing more is needed, nothing more is asked, and I am whole, content, and free.

Realization for Today

"When I stop reaching for more, I find the sweetness I was seeking was already within me."

Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah — The Universal Prayer for Peace & Health

Sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ, sarve santu nirāmayāḥ, sarve bhadrāṇi paśyantu, mā kaścid duḥkhabhāg bhavet. Om śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ.

May all beings be happy,

may all be free from illness,

may all see what is auspicious,

may no one suffer in any way.

Om peace, peace, peace.

सभी सुखी होवें,

सभी रोगमुक्त रहें,

सभी मंगलमय घटनाओं के साक्षी बनें

और किसी को भी दुःख का भागी न बनना पड़े।

ॐ शांति शांति शांति॥

— Traditional Sanskrit Shanti Mantra (peace prayer)

What does “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” mean? It is a traditional Sanskrit peace prayer wishing that every living being is happy, free from disease, sees only what is good, and never suffers. In Ayurveda it expresses the ideal of health for all — body, mind and soul.
