The Sun and Its Rays Are Not Two
Follow any ray of light back far enough, and you arrive at the sun itself. Ray and sun were never apart.
I am the sun and the ray together. What reaches out from me is still me.
The ray touches a leaf, a stone, a face. Wherever it lands, it carries the whole sun's warmth.
No ray has ever asked permission to leave the sun, and none has ever truly left.
A thousand rays fall upon the earth, yet there is only one sun. Many appearances, one source.
My thoughts, feelings, and actions are rays. Let me remember the source from which they shine.
If the sun were to withdraw, the rays would vanish. If I forget the Self, only confusion remains.
A ray does not compete with another ray. They fall side by side because they are one light.
Every being I meet is a ray of the same sun, shining from the same quiet centre.
Turn gently toward the source today, and feel the whole sun resting in every ray.
I am like the sun and its rays, I and all that I touch are not two.
