अन्धन्तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽविद्यामुपासते |
ततो भूय इव ते तमोय उ विद्यायां रताः ||
तात्पर्य: जो लोग बिना ज्ञान के केवल कर्म करते हैं, वे घोर अंधकार में प्रवेश करते हैं, परंतु जो कर्मरहित होकर केवल ज्ञान आहरण में ही लगे रहते हैं, वे उससे भी अधिक घोर अंधकार में प्रवेश करते हैं।
Those who merely perform actions without knowledge enter into profound darkness, but those who are solely engaged in the acquisition of knowledge without performing actions enter into an even deeper darkness.
