AYUSH 64 was developed by CCRAS for treating Malaria in 1980, the drug has now been repurposed to treat COVID -19, and has been found effective in a study carried out by AYUSH ministry in collaboration with CSIR. The Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India has recommended this medicine in the national clinical management protocol based on Ayurveda and Yoga.
