Bacterial Infections: Such as urinary tract infections, respiratory infections (pneumonia), or bacterial sepsis.

Viral Infections: Influenza, dengue fever, or viral hepatitis can present with fever and chills.

Tuberculosis: Particularly if there are additional symptoms like prolonged cough, weight loss, and night sweats.

Endocarditis: Inflammation of the inner lining of the heart, often associated with bacterial infection, can cause fever and chills.

Rheumatic Fever: An inflammatory disease that can develop after a streptococcal throat infection.
