Guru Grace Stories 1

Guru Grace Stories 1

Guru Story 1

''Main hoon na'' were the three magical words of the Master says Neeta Khemka which she had  failed to comprehend in a state of angst. Neeta, a  french professor  at Alliance Française de Delhi and an Art of Living faculty shares her experience and realisation of the significance of the Master's words.

My husband, Alok, had a compromised kidney condition for almost 30 years and in December of 2018, both his kidneys stopped functioning. He was put on dialysis and kept in the ICU. While at the hospital for over a month, Alok developed a fever, had further complications, and the doctors were unable to diagnose the cause.

A team of specialists were attending to him -  a nephrologist, urologist, pulmonologist, including internal medicine experts besides the ICU doctors. They had classified his condition as critical and survival was a faint hope. We were distraught and did not know if Alok was going to make it.

I was in touch with Gurudev right through. I even made Alok do the  Sudarshan Kriya in  Gurudev’s voice in the ICU amidst fear that the staff would stop me, but no one did.

During this period, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji visited  Delhi and  my daughter and I went to meet Him. He looked at me and asked, “Kaisa hai?” I didn’t know what to say and just kept looking at Him. He nodded and asked me to wait while He left the room. When He came back, He looked straight into my eyes and said  three magical words, “Main hoon na!”

I didn’t understand those three words at that moment given my angst.  The very next day, Alok miraculously recovered and was discharged thereafter. I still get goosebumps when I re-live those moments.  That is exactly when the signficance of those three words sunk in and tears started to flow. He had postponed the obvious, the inevitable. And how simply! I still get goosebumps when I re-live those moments.

Alok merged into the light on Aug 28th 2020, almost 18 months after he was first hospitalized and the  the doctors had given up hope. Gurudev gave him an extra year and a half with us through sheer grace. My head bows down in surrender and I experience a fountain of gratefulness for the love of the Master.
