Who created this universe or what did it origin from?

Question - Gurudev, who created this universe or what did it origin from?

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar  ji - Billions of years have passed since existence began on earth. Compared to it, the span of human life is nothing. In this vast space, where are we? Seeing yourself in context of the magnitude of creation shifts you to a different level of consciousness.

As per scriptures in ancient India, there are three kinds of space :

Bhutakash (physical space)

Chitakash (mental space) – where thoughts flow

Chidakash (final space) – the space of consciousness

You go from one space to another and from there to the final. People are not entities; they are wave functions, or wavelengths. Just close your eyes and ask yourself who you are; keep asking yourself – you will get no answer. All you will get is space, and that is what you are.

A little boy asks his father, “Tell me how God is? What is Brahman?” The father points to their house and asks him, “What was there before this house was built?” The boy says “Space”. Then the father asks, “Where is the house built?” The boy answers, “In space.” The father again asks, “Suppose this house is dismantled, what would remain?” The boy replies, “Space.” The father tells him, “That is God.”

Brahman or Divinity is the space in which everything is; the quantum field or field of energy. And that is what is deep within us. What Buddha called “nirvana” is simply sitting and being in your space and imagining that you are nobody and nothing.

The body is the instrument or space where past impressions can be washed off. See your whole past as a dream. In future, you will do many things and they will all pass like a dream. Knowing this and being aware of it, the space within us starts to open up and we experience heightened awareness. The more we become sensitive and go deep in meditation, the more we will be in touch with this enormous energy – the almighty.

The creator and the creation are one and the same. Creation is formed out of the creator, just like dance comes out of the dancer.
