Tamarindus indica

Its oil and Kshara (water insoluble ash) are also used in treatment.
Uses and qualities 
Leaves of tamarind along with leaves of nirgundi, arka and dhathura are used in a sweating procedure called Elakizhi. Here, heat is applied on the whole body or part of the body with a cloth sac filled with fried medicinal leaves.
Twak Bhasma – Ash / Kshara of tamarind bark / fruit skin – 
It's having astringent quality , used in wounds healing.
It is hot in quality. 
Balances Kapha and Vata Dosha
It relieves abdominal colic pain
It improves digestion strength.
