अनित्यं सर्वभेवेदं तापत्रितयदूषितम् ।
असारं निन्दितं हेयमिति निश्चित्य शाम्यति ॥
Dispassion is the only way you can be centered. There's no other way. Everything is transitory. Everything changes. Nobody is bad. People get into different moods. Their moods change and their behaviour change. Their likes and dislikes change. Your likes and dislikes change. Your way of looking at things changes. Events change. No event stays and remains the same. So everything is changing. The purpose of it all is to heat you up and bake you. You are baked in joy and you are baked in sorrow. You are baked in this event and in that event. So everything in the world bakes you; heats you up. And if you put your finger deeper into it, you get burned.
Just move lightly. Move above the events knowing they are all there to cook you and don't have any juice; any taste. They are like straw. If you know this, you are able to drop them. When you think that you will get some juice out of straw, you will go in crushing it. Once you know there is no juice in it and that it is just straw, there is no effort required to drop it. It drops off you. When you wake up after having a dream, you don't say that you will renounce it, drop it. You don't make an effort to drop it. The dream is gone once you wake up. Once you wake up,the dream is gone. This whole world is like a straw with no juice in it. When sugar cane is crushed, straw comes out on the other side. All the juice is removed and just the straw remains. It is only good as fuel. Wake up and see! Take or remove your consciousness from this world. What is this world? Is there any juice in it? There is no juice!
Dogs bite bones,and this causes wounds in their mouths and blood comes out. The dogs taste their own blood and feel the bone is very tasty and juicy. A bone is nothing, but the dog goes on biting it. The more they bite, the more they bleed and the poor dog doesn't realize that it is its own mouth which is bleeding, and that the bones do not have blood in them.
