⚡It is used for the treatment of earache, burns, abscesses, ulcer, insect bites, diarrhea & lithiasis.

⚡It is also used as hypertension & for the treatment of kidney stones.

⚡ In South eastern Nigeria, it is used to facilitate the dropping of the placenta of a newly born baby.

⚡ Leaves are known to possess neurosedative and muscle relaxant, antimicrobial, antiulcer, uterine contractility, antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic, antihypertensive and nephroprotective activities.
