*Medicinal uses* -
1. The whole plant is used as a general tonic for pregnant women.
2. The root infusion is used as a diuretic for gonorrhoea & urinary infections.
3. The decoction of leaf & tender stalks are used as a demulcent(a substance that relieves irrigation of the mucous membranes in the mouth by forming a protective film).
4. Leaves are used as an external application for the treatment of wounds.
5. Drief leaf powder is used to treat asthma.
6. It is externally used as a herb to relieves ulcer & headache.
7. Used for diarrhoea, urinary infections, leucorrhoea, dysuria, inflammation, cholera & sterility.
