Where did life come from? How is this body such a perfect piece of machinery? How are our eyes actually able to see, ears hear and the nose detect odour? 

The study of the human anatomy can tell you that each organ has a piece of equipment attached to it that enables it to function. But what makes that piece of equipment tick? 

The scriptures tell you that your physical self is here but your

spirit is rooted elsewhere.What does this mean? The Rishis knew this thirst of the seekers and the Kena Upanishad was born.

This Kena Upanishad derives its name from the opening word 'Kena-ishitam' meaning 'by whom' and 'Upanishad' means sitting close, more importantly feeling close to the

master. 

In this closeness, more than words flow between the Master and the disciple, speaker and the listener. All that the Master has can be transmitted through the sheer grace of being close to him.

As it is with all ancient scriptures, Kena Upanishad too, begins with an enquiry, which echoes the same fundamental questions that have brought the sincere on the path. 

From whom comes life? What enables man to speak, to hear and see? Keeping with the spirit of the Upanishads, while revealing the secret of this creation, prana, life and the fourth state of awakening.
