Found mostly in ponds, ditches, puddles, marshes & swamps.

Medicinal uses -
The plant is boiled in oil & applied externally to reduce fever.
The tender shoot is rubbed on aching gums.
The leaves and roots are used for ulcer and vulnerary (used in healing wounds).
Astringent, Haematuria (blood in urine), Colonorrhea (discharge of watery fluid from the colon).
