You want everybody to believe in you. But what is your belief? How much do you believe? And in what do you believe? You believe in all the small, petty, insignificant things; you believe in a lottery ticket; in your investment, properties and the share market.

श्रद्धस्व तात श्रद्धस्व नात्र मोहं कुरूष्व भोः ।

ज्ञानस्वरूपो भगवानात्मा तवं प्रकृतेः परः ॥

'My dear, have faith. Have faith. Believe in this. You have to believe, because you don't know. You cannot know unless you believe.' 

श्रद्धस्व । Unless you get into the water, you cannot learn to swim. Some say they will first learn to swim before getting into the water. The whole world and entire libraries are filled with such philosophies and arguments - atheists and believers. The atheist will believe only after he sees God. And the believers say that they do believe in God, but they want to see Him, they want to realize.

These two are not श्रद्धा । They are in the same boat. There is no difference between atheists and the so-called believers. Both of them have not risen to that platform of doubtlessness. It can only happen when every cell in this body and in the mind becomes alive, total and full. Then that state of doubtlessness - of shraddha - will arise in you. श्रद्धस्व तात श्रद्धस्व । Everyone says, 'You believe in me.' Everyone wants belief. You want others to believe you, don't you? Do you like people doubting you, doubting your integrity, doubting your heart, your kindness? No-one ever likes anybody doubting them. Doubtful eyes are worse than poison. This is what you are unable to stand in this world, doubtful eyes on you. You would rather die. Doubt is worse than death; worse than any horrible diseases. You want everybody to believe in you. But what is your belief? How much do you believe? And in what do you believe? You believe in all the small, petty, insignificant things; you believe in a lottery ticket; in your investment, properties and the share market. Belief is needed to move the world. But do you believe this whole universe is made up of that consciousness - that your very body, your mind, your thoughts, feelings and everything else is made up of this energy, this one consciousness, this one self? Is this belief strong in your head? You believe in your airline ticket. You know it's valid for three months, and you are eligible to travel for one year. Even if the airline company goes bankrupt, they will do something for you, e.g. they will put you into another airline. You may have insurance. To make our positions strong, we insure everything - car, our life, nose or eyes!

Though your experiences of silence of transcendence, of the Self, of the Divine may only be for a few seconds,few minutes or a few hours, you should believe in them. That is your true nature. You have been good several moments in your life. श्रद्धस्व तात श्रद्धस्व । Believe in them. Believe that you are good.
