Pyramid Valley, Bengaluru

Did you know that the Pyramid Valley, in Kebbedoddi village near Bengaluru houses a 102 feet tall pyramid nestled in a lush green valley which is the international meditation centre promoting meditation and vegetarianism for holistic living?

The Pyramid Valley, in Kebbedoddi village, off Kanakapura Road, near Bengaluru city, is a large open lush green valley, a campus spread over 24 acres where a massive 102 feet tall pyramid called the 'Maitreya-Buddha Pyramid' is built over a base of 100 feet/30 metres square. Built over a four year period, it was commissioned in 2004 under the auspices of the Pyramid Spiritual Trust (India) of the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement headed by Brahmarshi Patriji to function as an international meditation centre which can accommodate around 5,000 people; there is a large platform where people sit and meditate.

The pyramid is built on the architectural principles of the Giza Pyramid in Egypt and oriented in the North – South direction and built at a specifc incline called the golden angle of inclination at 51° 51’. It is belived that its four external faces represent the different elements – the north face representing air, the south and east facing showcasing fire and water respectively, and the west face represents earth. The frame of the pyramid is made of steel, resting on a cement concrete base. The most striking features are the murals depicting the many elements of nature.

In the large hollow interior space of the pyramid there is the spiral and vibrant King’s Chamber, a steel structure raising 1/3rd the height of the pyramid , which is considered the most energetic spot of the Pyramid, and it stands 34ft tall. It is fitted with more than 640 natural Himalayan crystals to amplify the Pyramid’s energy and help achieve a more profound spiritual experience. The platform at its top accessed by a spiral staircace can accomodate 40 people for meditation at a time. This meditation lasts for a minimum of 30 minutes. This elevated point, being the epicenter of pyramid, is believed to have high energy; kids are not allowed to go up this chamber.

The pristine nature of the Pyramid Valley has beautiful greenery, lakes and small hills with a small river winding through. There are many other spots for meditation in the Pyramid Valley campus named after famous modern day spiritual masters like Rampa and Osho. Trekking around the area one can climb the Tapastali hill for a meditation experience amidst the scenic surroundings. There are art galleries with Buddhist themes and there is a meditation briefing centre. There is also a cafeteria which serves a simple and tasty vegetarian menu.

Pyramid valley has also different types of accommodation for people to stay for meditation for long periods. These are in the form of Pagoda style cottages, bamboo cottages, standar A/c and Non A/C rooms , and Dormitories.

This Pyramid Valley with a pyramid raising to height of 10 storey building, has been selected as one of the 7 wonders of Bangalore , survey conducted by Bangalore Mirror (published by the Times of India group).

The Pyramid Valley is 30 km from the Bengaluru city centre and 76 km away from Bengaluru International Airpot on the NH209.
