Question - Gurudev, you had mentioned about Darshan Shakti. Does that mean that each sense of the fully blossomed one does the work of all the senses? 

Gurudev Sri Sri - It is true for everybody, not just for the enlightened person. You simply have to be a little quiet and calm inside. 

Question - Gurudev, my son says that God is everywhere and if so, so how can he pray at home and not go to the temple with me. How do I explain to him?

Gurudev Sri Sri - You should use logic and explain however you can, like the air is everywhere but you can feel it more near the fan. That could be one example. The temple is not just a place where God is present, it is a place of social, cultural bonding or creating some Samskaras in children. 

That is something you can tell him. But when someone doesn't want to do something they can find some logic not to do it. When you want to do something, then also you can find some logic of how you should do it. But it is immaterial. All that is needed is to see where the tendency of the mind of the children goes

Once it so happened that a professor asked Swami Vivekananda in a class, "Suppose you find a book of wisdom and money lying on the street, what will you take?" Swami Vivekanand said, " I will take the money." The professor said "What? I would take the book of wisdom." "Yes, you only take what you don't have" said Swami Vivekananda. 

We can find logic to prove our point anyway. The same professor was irritated with the way Swami Vivekananda dressed, with the way he was. The Swami went and sat on the same table in the restaurant where the professor was having his food. The professor said, "Look a pig and a bird cannot sit on the same table and have food."

Swami Vivekananda said "Yes, I can fly away anytime. You tell me and I can fly away to some other place immediately. The person with self knowledge will not get angry at anything. “You called me pig blah, blah, blah” and fight with someone. If you are so confident, then you are not ruffled with someone saying, "Puja is no good, Temple is no good." 

You don't get rattled because you know there is meaning in everything, there is purpose in everything. And also that there is no meaning, no purpose in anything. Anything that you do in this creation is completely meaningless, purposeless because it is a game. Games do not have a purpose. Don't even tell me that the purpose of a game is to gain joy. 

Game is an expression of joy. You are happy and then you kick the ball. This is the real game. If you are waiting for the goal to happen and then find joy, you are not playing a game, because the whole time till you make a goal, you are not enjoying, you are not expressing life. If you are happy and you kick the ball and it goes to the goal, the whole process is an expression of joy. 

The whole process is a game, a real play. The whole universe is considered a play of consciousness. It is just kicking the ball from this corner to that corner, and stopping it there and taking it back this side. It's a soccer game. I know many soccer fans are with us today on the Web cast and here also. Today the war has become a game and game has become a war. 

This is an unfortunate thing. It is spiritual knowledge, which makes you realise that life is a game and a game is am expression of life, of joy. If you are happy and want to celebrate, you don't have to open the vodka. You are bubbling joy and express your life in the game.
