FEATURED ARTIST OF THE DAY - LIN SIPEI
Lin Sipei is an art enthusiast who finds inspiration in the rich biodiversity found within her local community and nature reserves. Her deep appreciation for the beauty of nature is evident in her artwork, which she draws from pictures on her phone, captured during nature walks and at the Butterfly garden where she volunteers.
In her submission for the online botanical art exhibition, Lin Sipei presents a watercolor painting titled "Common Beauties." This artwork showcases three different types of common flowers found in Singapore, namely the rain lily (Zephyranthes sp)., Bidens alba and the Mickey Mouse flowers (Ochna serrulata).
Through her beautiful artwork, Lin Sipei aims to highlight the stunning nature of her homeland and the diverse flora that exists within it.
