A Gentleman from Kashmir came to the Ashram with his servant, who could not speak a word of any other language except Kashmiri. One night, when the hall was almost dark except for the pale glimmer of a single lamp, the servant came into the hall. He stood before The Master in a respectful manner blabbering something rapidly in his own language. The Master just whispered in his ears and said nothing more. The servant sat down and closed his eyes, and The Master was quietly gazing at the servant. After a while the servant saluted and left the hall.

Next morning, the gentleman who had come with the servant came to The Master and complained, “O Master, you never told me that you could speak Kashmiri, was it fair on your part?”

“What happened?” asked The Master. “I do not know a single word of your language. You know it very well.”

The Master asked the gentleman how he had got hold of this idea and the latter explained, “Last night, my servant came and met you in the hall, when you were alone. He says, he asked you several questions in Kashmiri. He also told me that you answered him in the same language and cleared all his problems and doubts.”

“But I never even opened my mouth.” The Master firmly replied. 

After the gentleman left the room, the Disciples asked The Master, "How is it that you did not speak a single word and still the Kashmiri Servant understood everything, that too in his own language?"

The Master smiled and replied, "When someone comes to The Master with Absolute Trust and belief, He is welcomed with open heart by The Master. The connection is established between two hearts.

Here, the similar thing happened, the servant had come with Absolute Trust and belief in The Master. Whereas, his boss, the gentleman who had visited The Master earlier too, was carrying the baggage of ego, that he has brought someone to The Master. That ego had distanced him from The Master. He could not Realise what happened with the servant.

When, the Servant came in the dark hall, The Master whispered NAAMA in his ears, and signalled him to sit down with closed eyes. Since, the hall was filled with pious and serene environment, the servant easily transcended to advanced stage of Bhakti, thanks too to The Master's physical presence. His Simran of The Naama, brought him face to face with The Master, within Him. The servant became enlightened.

There was Absolute Silence in the hall. And there was also absolute silence inside the servant. The Consciousness Wave length of The Master and The Servant got connected by The Master's Grace. All the queries he had, got answered within him. All this happened in Absolute SILENCE. No words spoken.

The servant knew only Kashmiri, so in the morning, he presented all the answers in Kashmiri, and the gentleman assumed I had spoken in Kashmiri."

The Disciple asked, "The gentleman is an old follower, why could he not understand?"

The Master once again replied, "When we carry the baggage of Ego, we unknowingly create a separate identity, an identity away from The Master and The Lord. This creates an invisible curtain between The Master and The follower. That is the reason, the gentleman could not understand how The Master spoke in a language, that He has never spoken ever.

The Master's language is the language of Naama. The Simran and Dhyaan of The Naama takes us to The Absolute SILENCE. From here, our Antar Simran or Ajapaa and Antar Dhyaan is also in Absolute Silence. Thus, it is in The Absolute Silence, that we get to Realise The Naama and The Master are One and The same. In the Absolute SILENCE, we are blessed with the Darshan of The Divine Light and hear the Divine Sound coming from The Lord's abode. It is in Absolute SILENCE derived through The Naama that we Realise The Master and The Lord are One. It is The Naama which is the source of our existence.

All our worldly thoughts evaporate, and problems get solved once we Surrender ourselves to the Absolute Silence. Thus, The true language of the Spiritual path is Silence. We should relish the Bliss of SILENCE as and when we get an opportunity.

As we practice Naama Bhakti, we will touch Silence for a fraction of second, initially. This fraction of second touch with Silence establishes connection with The Naama. As the Naama Bhakti fruitions, our time in Absolute SILENCE too increases. 

Absolute SILENCE in Naama Bhakti for longer duration is called as Samaadhi or Jeete ji Marna, Dying while alive. So, let us sit in our Naama Bhakti. The Master's Grace will enable us to touch The Absolute SILENCE and be in The Absolute SILENCE.
