PASSION AND SELF-RELIANCE

Passion makes you weak. Dispassion is strength.

For your passion to be fulfilled, you have to depend upon so many things. Passion and self-reliance do not appear to go together. If you are passionate, you have to forget about being self-reliant. If you want to be self-reliant, you have to drop your passion. This is generally so

That which brings together these two completely different aspects in you, is your spirit. The same spirit that wants to be self-reliant is also passionate. It is only in spirituality that passion and dispassion can happen together. This is the rarest combination.

When you are dispassionate, you have strength, and strength is self-reliance. True self-reliance is realizing that nothing is excluded from the Self. And when you realize everything is part of the Self, then you can be passionate about everything! Even to fulfill your passion, you can only rely on the Self, for Self alone is non-changing.

In Truth, there is neither reliance nor passion. In one state, you can either be passionate or you can be self-reliant. But in an elevated state of consciousness, you can be neither, or both!

राग एवं आत्म- निर्भरता

राग तुम्हे कमजोर बनाता है। वैराग्य बल है। अपने मनोवेग को परिपूर्ण करने के लिए तुम्हे कई चीजो पर आश्रित होना पड़ता है। ऐसा लगता है कि राग और आत्म निर्भरता दोनो एक साथ नही हो सकते है। यदि तुम संवेगशील हो तब तुम स्वावलम्बी नही हो सकते। यदि तुम स्वावलम्बी होना चाहते हो तब तुम्हे अपना मनोवेग छोड़ना होगा। प्रायः यही वास्तव में होता है।

इन एक दूसरे से पूर्णतः भिन्न पहलुओं को तुम्हारे अंदर एक साथ लाने वाली तुम्हारी आत्मा है। वही आत्मा जो स्वावलंबी होना चाहती है वह संवेगशाली भी होती है। केवल आध्यात्मिकता में ही राग और वैराग्य दोनो एक साथ हो सकते है। यह एक अनूठा मेल है।

जब तुम वैराग्य में होते हो तुम्हारे अंदर बल होता है और यही बल आत्मा- निर्भरता (स्वावलंबन) है। वास्तविक आत्मनिर्भरता यह महसूस करना है कि आत्मा से कुछ भी अलग नही है। जब तुम यह अनुभव करने लगते हो कि सब कुछ आत्मा का ही अंश है, तब तुम सभी चीजो के प्रति संवेगशील हो सकते हो। अपने राग को भी तृप्त करने के लिए तुम्हे आत्मा पर विश्वास करना पड़ता है, क्योकि केवल आत्मा ही अपरिवर्तनशील है।

सत्य में न ही निर्भरता है ना ही मनोवेग है। एक परिस्थिति में या तुम संवेगशील हो सकते हो या तुम आत्मनिर्भर हो सकते हो। परंतु चेतना की उत्कृष्ट स्थिति में या तुम दोनों होते हो या दोनो ही नही होते।
