The spontaneous unassumed behaviour of the wise is noteworthy, but not the deliberate, intentional stillness of the fool.॥52॥

उच्छृंखलाप्यकृतिका

स्थितिर्धीरस्य राजते।

न तु सस्पृहचित्तस्य

शान्तिर्मूढस्य कृत्रिमा॥१८- ५२॥

धीर पुरुष की स्वाभाविक स्थिति विक्षोभ युक्त होने पर भी श्रेष्ठ है पर जिसके चित्त में अनेक इच्छाएं भरी हैं उस अज्ञानी पुरुष पर बनावटी शांति शोभा नहीं पाती॥५२॥
