इन्द्रियाणि पराण्याहुरिन्द्रियेभ्य: परं मन: |
मनसस्तु परा बुद्धिर्यो बुद्धे: परतस्तु स: ||
अनुवाद: इन्द्रियों को श्रेष्ठ कहा गया है, परन्तु इन्द्रियों से श्रेष्ठ है मन; मन से श्रेष्ठ है बुद्धि; और बुद्धि से भी श्रेष्ठ है आत्मा।
The senses are said to be superior, but superior to the senses is the mind; superior to the mind is the intellect; and even superior to the intellect is the self (atman).
