 Question - Gurudev, when the mind is full of doubts or depressed, how do I convince myself that the fears that come up are not true?

Gurudev Sri Sri - When the mind is full of doubts or is depressed, it means that the level of prana has come down. When the level of prana goes down, doubts arise and we become sad. So, the remedy is to increase the prana level, through pranayama, proper food, exercise, singing and fasting. Go on a fruit diet for a few days. We keep on stuffing ourselves with food, even if we are not hungry.

Question: How to overcome doubts and fears when the mind is depressed?

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: When the mind is full of doubts or depressed, it's a sign of low prana (life force). To overcome this, increase the prana level through:

1. Pranayama (breathing exercises)
2. Proper food (nourishing and balanced diet)
3. Exercise (physical activity)
4. Singing (joyful and uplifting music)
5. Fasting (periodic detoxification)

He also suggests going on a fruit diet for a few days to cleanse and rejuvenate the body and mind.

Remember, when prana levels are high, the mind is clear, confident, and fearless. By boosting prana, you can overcome doubts and depression, and cultivate a more positive and resilient mindset.
