Neem, also known as Azadirachta indica, is a highly valued herb in Ayurveda for its detoxifying and purifying properties. It is commonly used to:

1. Purify the blood and skin
2. Treat skin diseases and wounds
3. Soothe sun damage and skin irritations
4. Calm Pitta disorders, such as skin and eye issues
5. Reduce inflammation and flare-ups in eczema and psoriasis
6. Relieve joint and muscle pain

Neem can be used topically on the skin in the form of medicated oil, and is also available in capsule or tablet form for internal use.
