There is no attachment in the heart of a wise man whether he sees or pays homage to a learned brahmin, a celestial being, a holy place, a woman, a king or a friend.॥54॥

श्रोत्रियं देवतां तीर्थम-

ङ्गनां भूपतिं प्रियं।

दृष्ट्वा संपूज्य धीरस्य

न कापि हृदि वासना॥१८- ५४॥

धीर पुरुष शास्त्रज्ञ ब्राह्मण, देवता, तीर्थ, स्त्री, राजा और प्रिय को देख कर उनका स्वागत करता है पर उसके ह्रदय में कोई कामना नहीं होती॥५४॥
