- Roots are woody and aromatic
- The root is a substitute for sarsaparilla( Smilax spp.) 
- ️Flower cymes are stalkless & greenish on the outside & purple to yellowish orange on the inside.

💉 Medicinal uses -
🌼 It is one of the Rasayana plants of ayurveda, as it is anabolic in its effect.
🌼 It is used for venereal diseases, herpes, skin diseases, arthritis, rheumatism, gout, epilepsy, insanity, chronic nervous diseases, abdominal distention, intestinal gas, debility, impotence & turbid urine.
🌼 The root is used as blood purifier, demulcent, diaphoretic, diuretic, swellings & rheumatic joints.
🌼 Antiarthritic, anticancer, antimicrobial, antidiarrhoeal, anti-inflammatory, antileprotic, antivenom, wound healing activity.
