shatavari is called as queen of herbs in the ayurveda. The roots are bitter, sweet, emollient, cooling, nervine, tonic, constipating, ophthalmic, anodyne, . the herb is used for the treatment of disease conditions like indigestion, dysentery, tumors, irritations, burning sensations, eye disorders, kidney disease, hepatopathy, throat disease, gonorrhea, leucorrhea, epilepsy and hyperacidity. Cooling herb supports the reproductive system. Shatavari is the best herb which has rejuvenating effects upon female reproductive organs. It is useful for both men and women. Shatavari is a climbing plant which grows in low forests throughout india. It is mainly the roots of the plant that are used for medicinal purposes.
