Jatukarna Samhita is a lesser-known text in Ayurveda

Jatukarna Samhita is a lesser-known text in Ayurveda, and it is have been written in the 8th or 9th century CE. The text focuses on the treatment of diseases and disorders affecting the eyes, ears, nose, throat, and head.

The Jatukarna Samhita is named after the Jatukarna Marma points, which are two anatomical structures in the human body that are shaped like a pair of ears, and are located near the kidneys. These structures are considered to be important points in Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment, and the Jatukarna Samhita includes detailed descriptions of how to diagnose and treat disorders affecting these areas.

The text also includes descriptions of a variety of Ayurvedic treatments and remedies, including herbal medicines, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle practices. It is considered to be a valuable resource for Ayurvedic practitioners who specialize in treating conditions affecting the head and neck.

Overall, while the Jatukarna Samhita is not as well-known as some of the other foundational texts of Ayurveda, it is still an important part of the tradition, and it continues to be studied and used by Ayurvedic practitioners today
