Polygonum plebejum (Common name: Small Knotweed, chimati saag)

Polygonum plebeium Syn.: Polygonum plebejum (Common name: Small Knotweed, chimati saag) –Polygonaceae, a prostrate, densely branched, annual herb.

 Flowers are pink, in leaf-axils, in clusters. 
The herb is found in India from sea level to 2200 m in the Himalayas. Leaves - cooked and eaten as a vegetable and the crushed seeds are cooked and eaten as a remedy for bowel complaint.
